Pineapple Greetings!
Penni here.... reporting from the Peninsula of Charleston!
This month we are celebrating the anniversary of the
Southern Style Now Designer Showhouse
presented by
Traditional Home Magazine.
The CC sisters were certainly honored to receive the call from MA Allen Interiors of Raleigh, NC to collaborate on the historic renovation at the 2018 Southern Style Now Designer Showhouse in Charleston, SC presented by Traditional Home Magazine for the Dining Room Window Drapery Designs.

Historic District of Charleston, South Carolina

The design process was very exciting working together to feature iconic sweetgrass of the Lowcountry. It was actually their first venture into the home category. They worked with one of their premier Charleston Carry sweetgrass artisans, Henrietta Snype to weave the sweetgrass for the designer showhouse  drapery designs that featured sweetgrass medallions for each window. The "Miss Henrietta Collection" of Charleston Carry handbags also features her sweetgrass handles.  Her sweetgrass heirloom artwork has appeared in the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art.

The sweetgrass medallions were embedded in the cornice and could be seen from the interior and exterior of the windows. Five petite sweetgrass drop medallions and two tie back medallions also enhanced the design.

The Dining Room design was featured on Open House TV hosted
by Sara Gore.
The Southern Style Now Designer Showhouse was also featured in the
Sept/Oct 2019 Traditional Home Magazine.
